About

HISTORY

The Randolph County Beekeepers Association was organized in the early 1970’s by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lewallen, Fred Craven, George Byrum, Martha york, Henry Allred, and others. The purpose being to promote beekeeping and assist members and others in maintaining hives and learning about bees.

We are an affiliate of the NC State Beekeepers Association and lend support to the NC Zoo and it’s honeybee exhibit.

Our mission is for public awareness of the honey bee and its role in the environment in which we live.  To also bring awareness of the necessity in helping the honey bee survive and teach them our love and passion of this little creature.
